Whether you’re building a new pool or replacing an outdated unit, our team ensures the job is done right the first time.
Why Upgrade Your Pool Pump?
A new pool pump isn’t just about performance—it’s about saving time, money, and energy. Benefits include:
Cleaner, healthier water – Strong circulation keeps chemicals distributed evenly and water safe.
Energy efficiency – Modern variable-speed pumps can reduce energy bills by up to 70%.
Longer equipment life – Proper circulation reduces strain on filters, heaters, and plumbing.
Quieter operation – Advanced designs mean smoother, quieter performance.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
Frustrated. We were wary of trying another pool company but after an extended illness over the holidays, our pool had turned green and needed a good cleaning that I just didn't have the time nor energy to do. We met with the owner and shared our prior experiences with companies that didn't communicate, didn't show up as promised and kept trying to upsell services that weren't needed. Owner looks at it - it's dirty but not unfixable. Water levels are great - no need to drain it (Yay!) and there were no chemicals in it at all. We felt like we were in good hands with all the reviews online and paid a deposit for them to begin the process.
Day 1: Tech shows up to start the process. He takes the filters out to clean them (we had requested that they be swapped with our spare cartridges but...) and when he reassembled it, he did not tighten the ring around the pump with a tool and then proceeded to panic that it was going to blow up. My husband took it apart, reassembled it, tightened it and it was good to go. There was no other brushing/cleaning that took place that day nor any chemicals added. The tech was insisting that our pump (4 years old) was going to blow up.
We spoke with the owner and tried again the next day.
Day 2: No cleaning the filters, minimal brushing and some chemicals. Leaves the pump at >3500rpm 24/7.
Day 3: Did not clean the filters or swap them, no brushing. Not sure what else was done but this is definitely not what we were told would happen.
The pump gets left on >3500rpm 24/7 for SIX DAYS STRAIGHT!!!! Day 6: I reach out to the owner again (I'm getting absolutely no communication from them other than me reaching out to them). The response was: 'We'll get you on today's or Tue schedule to do that. If you're home and can send a pic of pool for the color/clarity that would help too.'
Day 7: New tech comes, replaces cartridges, fixes the pump schedule back to normal, brushes it down.
Day 14: No further response, nothing from the company so I reach out AGAIN. He responds that they'll send someone out.
Day 15: Original tech is back (despite this being an issue). The pool doesn't look like it's been brushed, and now he's saying it needs a drain and rinse. Still no communication from the owner. I was really hoping for a good outcome but right now, I feel duped again.
Our records show 8 service visits over this period, and while we were working hard to get your pool right, my communication throughout was not where it needed to be. That's on me.
I'm glad we had the chance to speak this morning and come to an amicable resolution. I wish you all the best and hope your pool is back to perfect soon.

How to Install a Pool Pump in Marana Arizona
Installing a pool pump in Marana, Arizona requires careful planning and execution to ensure your swimming pool operates efficiently in the desert climate. Whether you’re replacing an old pump or installing a new system, understanding the process will help you maintain crystal-clear water while managing energy costs effectively. This comprehensive guide walks you through the essential steps of pool pump installation, from preparation to final testing.
Understanding Marana’s Unique Requirements
Before beginning your pool pump installation, it’s important to recognize that Marana’s desert environment presents specific challenges. The intense summer heat, dust, and mineral-rich water require durable equipment and proper installation techniques. Additionally, local building codes and electrical requirements must be followed to ensure safety and compliance. Consider consulting with the Town of Marana’s building department to verify permit requirements before starting your project.
Selecting the Right Pool Pump
Choosing an appropriate pool pump is the foundation of successful installation. Variable-speed pumps are highly recommended for Marana residents, as they offer significant energy savings during the long swimming season. Calculate your pool’s volume and turnover rate requirements to determine the proper horsepower needed. Most residential pools in Marana function well with pumps ranging from one to two horsepower, though larger pools may require more powerful units.
Gathering Necessary Tools and Materials
Proper preparation ensures a smooth installation process. You’ll need PVC primer and cement, Teflon tape, a hacksaw or PVC cutter, adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, a level, and safety equipment including gloves and eye protection. Additionally, gather all plumbing components such as unions, adaptors, check valves, and pressure gauges. Having everything readily available prevents unnecessary delays during installation.
Preparing the Installation Site
Location selection significantly impacts your pump’s performance and longevity. Choose a level, well-ventilated area that’s protected from direct sunlight and monsoon rains. The pump should be positioned as close to the pool as possible to minimize friction loss, yet far enough to prevent flooding damage. Ensure the pad or platform is stable and can support the pump’s weight along with water-filled plumbing. Many Marana homeowners construct concrete pads or use composite equipment pads designed for pool equipment.
Shutting Down the Existing System
If you’re replacing an existing pump, safety must be your top priority. Turn off all power to the pool equipment at the circuit breaker, not just the timer or switch. Verify the power is off using a voltage tester before proceeding. Close the valves on both the suction and return lines to prevent water drainage. Relieve any pressure in the system by opening the pump lid briefly, then secure it again before disconnecting plumbing connections.
Removing the Old Pump
Carefully disconnect the electrical wiring, taking photographs or labeling wires to simplify reconnection. Remove the plumbing connections using appropriate wrenches, working methodically to avoid damaging pipes or fittings. Some unions may be stubborn due to age and desert conditions, so apply gentle heat if necessary. Once all connections are freed, remove the pump from its mounting location and inspect the existing plumbing for wear or damage that should be addressed during installation.
Installing the New Pool Pump
Position your new pump on the prepared pad, ensuring it sits level in all directions. An unlevel pump can cause premature bearing failure and excessive vibration. Orient the pump so that the strainer basket is easily accessible for routine maintenance. Before making any connections, dry-fit all plumbing components to verify proper alignment and spacing. This preparation prevents issues after applying permanent adhesive.
When connecting the plumbing, remember that the suction side pulls water from the pool through the skimmer and main drain, while the return side pushes filtered water back into the pool. Use PVC primer and cement according to manufacturer instructions, working in a well-ventilated area. Apply Teflon tape to threaded connections to ensure watertight seals. Install unions on both the intake and output sides to facilitate future pump removal for maintenance or replacement.
Electrical Connections and Safety
Electrical work should comply with National Electrical Code standards and local Marana requirements. If you’re not experienced with electrical installations, this is the time to hire a licensed electrician. Connect the pump motor according to the wiring diagram provided by the manufacturer, ensuring proper grounding. Use waterproof wire connectors and conduit to protect connections from moisture and dust. Install a dedicated circuit with appropriate amperage and ground fault circuit interrupter protection.
Priming and Testing Your New Pump
Before starting the pump, fill the strainer basket with water to help prime the system. Open all valves slowly, checking for leaks at every connection. Turn on the power and observe the pump as it begins operation. You should see water flowing through the clear strainer lid, and air bubbles should gradually decrease. Check the pressure gauge reading and compare it to normal operating ranges. Listen for unusual noises that might indicate problems such as cavitation or bearing issues.
Final Considerations
Successfully installing a pool pump in Marana ensures your swimming pool remains a refreshing oasis throughout the intense desert summer. Regular maintenance, including cleaning the strainer basket and monitoring performance, will extend your pump’s lifespan. By following these professional installation steps and respecting local codes, you’ll enjoy efficient, reliable pool circulation for years to come.
