About Pool Palooza

Answers to the questions Oro Valley and Tucson pool owners ask us most. Don’t see yours? Call or text (520) 521-0905.

What is Pool Palooza?

Pool Palooza is a weekly pool service company based in Oro Valley, Arizona. We clean, balance and inspect residential pools year-round so owners can enjoy clear water without doing it themselves. Our tagline says it best: We Clean. You Party.

What makes Pool Palooza different from other Tucson pool companies?

Three things most owners notice right away:

  1. Weekly service, not monthly-only “drive-by” care.
  2. Proof after every visit: a text when your tech is on the way, then a service-complete report with pool photos and chemical readings.
  3. Straight terms: month to month, never any contracts, and a simple visit guarantee.

We do not take gate photos. Proof is always the pool and the chemistry, not your fence or keypad. See our weekly pool service.

Are you licensed and local?

Yes. We are a local Oro Valley and Tucson team with licensed, trained technicians. We service residential pools year-round in the desert climate, not just in summer.

What is your Google rating?

Pool Palooza holds a 4.9-star rating from 60+ Google reviews. Recent clients often mention clear water, professional techs and clear communication. Read our reviews.

Can I see real work, not stock photos?

Yes. Our repairs page shows recent Tucson equipment jobs with dates stamped on the photos. Our Google reviews are public, and weekly clients get photo reports after every visit.

Who is Todd?

Todd Larson owns Pool Palooza. Clients often mention Todd and the crew by name for communication and follow-through.

Service Area

Where do you provide pool service?

We serve Oro Valley and about 25 miles around it, including Tucson, Catalina Foothills, Casas Adobes, Marana, Catalina / SaddleBrooke, Vail and Tucson Country Club Estates. See all our service areas.

What ZIP codes do you cover?

Common service ZIP codes include 85704, 85739, 85718, 85750, 85658, 85742, 85737, 85755, 85745, 85749 and 85641, plus other Oro Valley and north Tucson ZIP codes on existing routes. Enter your ZIP on the free-trial form and we’ll confirm whether you’re on a route.

Do you service Dove Mountain, Catalina, or SaddleBrooke?

Yes, when the address is on or near an existing route. Claim a free-trial spot with your ZIP and we’ll confirm.

Do you only serve Oro Valley?

Oro Valley is home base, but we also service Tucson and nearby communities within about 25 miles. If you’re outside that radius, ask. We’ll tell you honestly if we can reach you.

Do you service commercial or community pools?

Our focus is residential pools and short-term rentals. We’re licensed with Pima County as a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) for semi-public pools such as apartments, hotels and HOA communities, but we don’t service commercial pools. Call (520) 521-0905 to see if your pool is a fit.

Plans and Pricing

Why don’t you publish one fixed price on every ad?

Every pool is different: size, equipment, salt vs. chlorine, how green it is, and access. We inspect first, quote a clear monthly price, then start the trial or service so there are no surprises. Plans start at about $139/month. See our pool service packages.

What’s the difference between Pro, Pristine, and Perfection?
  • Pro (from about $139/month): weekly basics, including chemical tests, skimming, baskets, pump and filter checks, backwashing as needed and proof of service. Lighter on brushing.
  • Pristine (from about $189/month): our normal weekly service, with everything in Pro plus brushing walls and steps. Most Tucson homes need this rhythm, and about 90% of clients choose it.
  • Perfection (from about $219/month): our premium residential checklist, with filter and salt cell cleaning bundled in at a discount.

Every plan except Pro includes vacuuming.

Do you offer short-term rental (Airbnb / VRBO) pool service?

Yes. Paradise (from about $249/month) is our package for short-term rental hosts, with 2–3 visits a week, spa service and other requests as needed, plus photo proof after every visit.

Is there a contract?

No. Service is month to month, never any contracts. Cancel anytime by call or text at (520) 521-0905.

How does billing work?

A card on file reserves your free trial and continues paid weekly service after the trial unless you cancel. You are not charged during the 2 free weeks. After the trial, service continues at the price quoted at your inspection.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can move between Pro, Pristine and Perfection as your pool and preferences change. Just ask the office.

Weekly Service

Do you brush the walls every week?

On our Pristine and Perfection plans, yes: walls, steps and related surfaces are part of the weekly rhythm. Our basic Pro plan is lighter on brushing, which is why most residential clients choose Pristine.

Do you vacuum every week?

Every plan except Pro includes vacuuming: at least once a month, or weekly or every other week as agreed. After dust storms or monsoon weather, expect extra skimming time.

Do you check the equipment every visit?

Yes. We check the pump, filter and equipment pad every week so small problems like leaks, rising filter pressure or odd noises get caught before they turn into expensive failures.

Free 2-Week Trial

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. Try weekly pool service free for 2 weeks: two full weekly visits with chemicals included, on-the-way texts and photo reports. Claim your free trial.

What are the free trial terms in plain English?
  • 2 free weekly visits of full service, with chemicals included as long as water tests are within acceptable ranges
  • A card on file reserves the trial; $0 is charged during the 2 free weeks
  • The price for ongoing service is quoted at your inspection visit
  • After the trial, weekly service continues at that price unless you cancel
  • Month to month, never any contracts
  • We start only 5 free trials per week (route capacity)
  • Green pool recovery costs extra
How do I start the free trial?
  1. Claim your spot on our free-trial page (name, phone, email, ZIP).
  2. We confirm you’re on a route, inspect the pool and equipment, quote your price, set your service day and put a card on file.
  3. Enjoy 2 free weeks. Love it? Do nothing and service continues. Not for you? Call or text to cancel.
Why do you need a card on file for a free trial?

It reserves your trial spot and makes the handoff to paid weekly service seamless if you keep us. You are not charged for the two free visits.

What if my pool is green when I start?

We can recover green or cloudy pools with our Green-to-Clean service, starting at $500. Recovery is extra and isn’t part of the free trial’s weekly chemical package. Once the water is clear and stable, weekly service keeps it that way.

Is the free trial limited?

Yes. We start only 5 free trials per week so new stops fit real routes and real techs, not a waitlist of empty promises.

Our Guarantee

What is the Pool Palooza Guarantee?

If you’re ever not happy with a visit, we come back free to fix it, or we refund that week.

What if something is missed on a visit?

Tell us. We’d rather come back and make it right than leave you guessing. Photo reports make it easy to spot issues the same day.

Do you guarantee the pool will never go green?

No honest company can promise that after a monsoon, a broken pump, or a salt cell that stopped making chlorine. What we do promise: weekly balancing and equipment checks, clear communication, and our visit guarantee. Green recovery is available when needed.

Repairs

Do you repair pool equipment?

Yes. We handle pump repair and replacement, filter repair and replacement, leaks, valves, heaters, automation panels and general equipment-pad work in Tucson and Oro Valley.

What is the $125 diagnostic fee?

That is our normal onsite diagnostic fee for repair visits. Weekly route clients who send a clear photo through our repairs photo page first get it waived. Repair prices are confirmed on site before any deposit or work starts.

Do you replace pumps and filters?

Yes: cartridge or sand filters, pump motors and full pump assemblies, and related plumbing on the pad when the job needs it. For new installs, we prefer Pentair. See pool pump installation and pool filter installation.

I’m already with another company. Can you just do a repair?

Yes. Send a photo for an estimate. Weekly service is separate, so you can hire us for equipment work without switching weekly providers, or switch to us for weekly after we fix the pad.

If I’m on weekly service, do repairs cost extra?

Yes. Weekly service covers cleaning, chemistry and inspection. Parts, labor, green recovery and major filter cleans are quoted separately when needed.

Will you tell me before spending money on parts?

Yes. If we spot a problem, we’ll explain what’s wrong and send you a quote, and we only do the repair once you approve. Repair prices are confirmed on site before any deposit or work starts.

Water and Chemistry

Why is Tucson pool water hard to keep balanced?

Hard fill water, intense sun, high evaporation (about ¼ inch a day in summer is common), dust storms and monsoon debris all stress chlorine and pH. Salt systems also tend to raise pH, so most salt pools need regular acid. Learn more about salt systems.

Do you drain and refill pools?

Sometimes a drain and refill or partial drain is part of a recovery or equipment job, for example when water quality or equipment work requires it. That is quoted case by case and isn’t included with weekly service. See also our acid wash service.

Scheduling and Access

How do I get on a route?

Start with the free-trial form or call or text (520) 521-0905. We confirm your ZIP, inspect the pool, set a service day and add you to a weekly route.

What day will you come?

Your service day is set at the inspection visit based on route density. We aim for the same day every week.

What if I have a gate code or locked backyard?

Share access details with the office. Codes stay in our service app and tech notes, never posted on social media or used in marketing. We don’t photograph gates for “proof.”

What about dogs?

Tell us. Notes go on your account (crate, gate, dog-friendly, etc.) so your tech is prepared. Safety for pets and techs comes first.

How do I reach someone if something looks wrong?

Call or text (520) 521-0905. For repair photo estimates, use our repairs photo page.

Discounts and Referrals

Do you offer a military or first responder discount?

Yes. First responders and active military get 10% off the monthly plan.

Do you have a referral program?

  • Your friend can get 2 free weeks of weekly service, with the same trial rules.
  • After your 1st friend’s first paid month, you get a $100 bill credit.
  • After your 2nd friend’s first paid month, you get a free month.
  • Every friend after that earns another $100 credit, with no cap.

One code per household, for new customers in our service area only. Codes use POOLPARTY plus your first name (for example, POOLPARTYTODD).
