Power Your Pool with Efficiency and Reliability

Whether you’re building a new pool or replacing an outdated unit, our team ensures the job is done right the first time.
Why Upgrade Your Pool Pump?
A new pool pump isn’t just about performance—it’s about saving time, money, and energy. Benefits include:
Cleaner, healthier water – Strong circulation keeps chemicals distributed evenly and water safe.
Energy efficiency – Modern variable-speed pumps can reduce energy bills by up to 70%.
Longer equipment life – Proper circulation reduces strain on filters, heaters, and plumbing.
Quieter operation – Advanced designs mean smoother, quieter performance.
Compliance with energy standards – Many older single-speed pumps no longer meet efficiency codes.

Got Questions?
We’ve shared a series of our most common questions and answered them. If you need additional information or have other questions, never hesitate to reach out to us.
A new variable-speed pump, installed, starts at $2,200. The final price depends on the pump model and horsepower, plumbing changes and electrical work. Send a photo of your current pump on our repairs page for an estimate; the $125 diagnostic fee is waived for weekly route clients.
For most Tucson pools, yes. Pumps run long hours here, and a variable-speed pump running slower for longer uses far less power than a single-speed pump. It is also quieter and easier on the filter. Most owners make back the extra cost through lower electric bills.
For most in-ground pools, no. Federal efficiency rules that took effect in July 2021 mean most replacement in-ground pool pumps must be variable-speed; only smaller pumps can still be single- or two-speed.
A motor-only swap can make sense when the housing, impeller and seals are in good shape and the motor is the only failure. If the housing is cracked or sun-brittled, or the pump is an old single-speed, a complete variable-speed pump is usually the better value.
Bigger isn’t better. The right pump matches your pool’s volume, plumbing, filter and any heater or spa. An oversized pump wastes power and can strain the filter. With a variable-speed pump, the speed is set to suit your pool, so exact horsepower matters less.
Long enough to turn the water over at least once a day, which in a Tucson summer usually means many hours at low speed on a variable-speed pump. Running in cooler, off-peak hours can lower your electric bill. Salt pools may need extra run time so the cell makes enough chlorine.
Often only for parts. Pentair’s coverage starts when the equipment is installed: pool-company installs often include parts and labor under Pentair’s program, while equipment bought online is often parts only. Pump coverage often runs 1–3 years by model. We help you understand what Pentair covers, but we are not an authorized warranty center.
For new installs, we prefer Pentair. We also service Hayward and Jandy equipment. We don’t push one-size-fits-all “internet specials” that leave you without labor coverage.
It’s possible, but the job involves plumbing, high-voltage wiring and equipment bonding. Mistakes can create a shock hazard or cost you labor coverage under the manufacturer’s warranty.
